Tenerife
The largest and most populated island of the Canary archipelago is a natural paradise of contrasts, where volcanic beauty intertwines with paradisiacal beaches and a rich biodiversity.
Volcanic landscapes: El Teide, the third highest volcano in the world from its base, dominates the Tenerife landscape. Its imposing cone, crowned by a smoking crater, forms part of the Teide National Park, a unique ecosystem declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Solidified lava flows, volcanic tunnels and whimsical rock formations complete this scenery of amazing geology.
Coasts: Tenerife boasts 342 kilometres of coastline, offering a variety of beaches to suit all tastes. From the golden sands of the south, ideal for sunbathing and water sports, to the hidden coves of the north, perfect for relaxing and diving. Wave lovers will also find their paradise on the western beaches, where conditions are ideal for surfing and windsurfing.
Cliffs and ravines: Tenerife’s coastline is dotted with impressive cliffs and ravines, the result of sea and river erosion. The Cliffs of Los Gigantes in the west rise majestically above the ocean, while the Barranco del Infierno in the south offers hiking trails through lush forests and refreshing waterfalls.
Natural parks: Beyond Mount Teide, Tenerife is home to other protected natural spaces of great ecological value. The Parque Rural de Anaga, in the northeast, is a refuge of laurel forests, a unique plant formation in the archipelago. The Teno Natural Park, in the west, preserves a rugged landscape with unique rock formations and a rich flora and fauna.
Biodiversity: The island is home to a wide variety of animal and plant species, many of them endemic. The fauna includes birds such as the guirre, an endangered scavenger vulture, and the laurel forest, a humid forest with a rich flora and fauna. The ocean surrounding the island is also a lively ecosystem, with dolphins, whales and a wide variety of fish.
La Palma
La Palma, known as “La Isla Bonita”, is a natural paradise located in the Canary Islands, characterised by its exuberant vegetation, its volcanic landscapes and its virgin beaches.
Volcanic landscapes: La Palma is dominated by the Cumbre Vieja volcano, which forms part of the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, a unique ecosystem declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Its solidified lava has created a landscape of astonishing beauty, with craters, lava flows and volcanic tubes.
Forests and vegetation: The island is covered in laurel forests, a type of subtropical rainforest that is home to a rich biodiversity. These forests, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are home to numerous endemic plant and animal species.
Calderas and ravines: La Palma is home to impressive volcanic calderas, such as the Caldera de Taburiente, the largest in the world. The ravines, the result of fluvial erosion, are also a characteristic element of the landscape of La Palma, offering hiking routes of great beauty.
Coasts and beaches: The island has 217 kilometres of coastline, where black volcanic sandy beaches alternate with crystal clear coves. The north offers wild beaches perfect for surfing and windsurfing, while the south boasts quieter beaches ideal for relaxing and swimming.
Biodiversity: La Palma is a paradise for nature lovers. The island is home to a wide variety of animal and plant species, many of them endemic. Among the fauna, birds stand out, such as the rabiche pigeon, a sea bird in danger of extinction, and the laurel forest, a humid forest with a rich flora and fauna. The ocean surrounding the island is also a lively ecosystem, with dolphins, whales and a wide variety of fish.

Difficulty
To successfully achieve the 6 Walks it is necessary a good physical condition, steady walk and lack of vertigo. According to the year season, temperatures can be extreme (hot and/or cold). Therefore, it is necessary to have suitable warm clothes permanently, to be removed as layers if necessary. Some parts of this trail include passages with slippery loose stone. Although most of this trail is roomy enough, certain sections are quite aerial and require caution. Using hiking poles is highly recommended.
Trails
The Canary Islands has a well signposted network of trails. All sections where from our tours are perfectly marked. In addition to the detailed map of Tenerife, you will get from us precise indications of each route and assistance from the hotline on your walks.
We recommend
Appropriate hiking clothing and sturdy footwear. During the tours, it is necessary to have food and drink enough, as well as sun protection, a cap, wind jacket and, in the winter months, warm clothing.
Luggage transfer
We move your luggage from one accommodation to next, so on your hikes you should only carry a backpack with the essentials of the day. For the whole trip, it is recommendable to use a single suitcase, not bigger than 20 kg.
You can book at any date!
