Best walks in Fuerteventura: Natural landscapes of pristine beauty
Fuerteventura, with its arid and almost primeval beauty, is an island that seems suspended in time. Its landscape is a symphony of contrasts, where the desert and the sea meet in an eternal embrace. The endless golden sand dunes undulate under the scorching sun, drawing changing shapes modulated by the tireless wind. Its sandy hills seem to stretch towards the horizon, creating a coastal desert that merges with fine sandy beaches and crystal-clear, deep blue waters.
Landscape and nature The interior of the island is dominated by a volcanic landscape of ochre and reddish tones, with low, eroded mountains rising above deserted plains. It is the ideal environment to discover hiking in Fuerteventura. The peaks of these mountains offer breathtaking panoramic views, where the eye can follow the jagged coastline and nearby islets. The land, dry and punishing, is dotted with small shrubs and cacti that defy the harsh conditions to survive.
The sea around the island is a deep, almost hypnotic blue, contrasting with the white sands and rock formations of the coast. The waves break gently against the shore, leaving behind white foam and a soothing sound that seems to accompany the leisurely pace of life on the island. On its coasts you can also find routes to enjoy hiking in Fuerteventura full of exoticism.
