Day 1
Arrival in Tenerife
Pick up at the airport and transfer to the hotel in San Cristobal de La Laguna.
On arrival at the hotel you will find the necessary documentation, but we also offer you a video call to discuss the details of this programme.
Day 2
Anaga Massif: The North
After a short transfer to the small village of Chamorga, this route begins, which climbs through laurel forests until it reaches the Cruz del Draguillo. The path then continues gently downhill along the edge of the ravine, leaving the Casas de Tafada behind until it reaches the Anaga lighthouse.
Day 3
From Cruz del Carmen to Punta de Hidalgo
With public bus we reach Cruz del Carmen in just 20 minutes. Then the trail enters the lush laurel forest of the Anaga Massif, crossing picturesque villages dotted with small cultivation terraces.
Day 4
Chinyero Volcano
A short transfer takes you to Santiago del Teide, from where the PR TF 43.3 trail starts in the direction of the Chinyero Volcano (erupted in 1909). Through old stone paths the trail ascends towards El Calvario and Montaña de Bilma.
Day 5
Monte de Agua & Cuevas Negras
In the Teno Rural Park, just a few minutes from Garachico, lies the municipality of Los Silos, the starting point of a route that runs through one of the most beautiful and representative landscapes of Tenerife. The so-called Monte de Agua is set between two leafy ravines and is home to a laurisilva rainforest with unique plant relics and endemic fauna, criss-crossed by ancient trails.
Day 6
Guajara Mount & Lunar Landscape
Today a short drive from Vilaflor takes us to the heart of Las Cañadas del Teide National Park. Next to the Parador, in the incomparable setting of the majestic Roques de García, the trail heads towards the Montaña de Guajara, a promontory that closes off Las Cañadas to the south, rising to 2,717 metres and offering an astonishing visual spectacle.
Day 7
Climb to Pico del Teide peak
The ascent to Pico del Teide is probably the most striking route in Tenerife. At 3,718 metres, Teide is the highest mountain in Spain and a spectacular vantage point from which you can see up to 5 neighbouring islands on clear days. Climbing to the top (the Pitón del Teide) requires a special permit, which we can arrange for you. And the descent can easily be made by cable car, if the weather allows its use.
ALTERNATIVE OPTION: Climb the "Pico Viejo" Old Peak
In addition to the toughness of the route, the ascent of Pico del Teide is not always possible due to climate or physical requirements. Therefore, if you are unable to do it, we propose an alternative option that is also spectacular, although it does not reach the highest peak: Climb to the "Pico Viejo".

Emblematic hotel located in the heart of the historic centre of San Cristobal de La Laguna. Set in the setting of an old palatial mansion, with an exquisite interior courtyard decorated with great style. A hotel with an enormous cultural and gastronomic life in its surroundings, but which at the same time allows its guests to enjoy all the peace and quiet necessary for rest and relaxation.
HOTEL RURAL GARA
The intricate streets of Garachico are lined with old palatial mansions that survived the eruption of 1706. It is in these surroundings that we find the Hotel Rural Gara, an old traditional Canarian building, beautifully restored and facing the infinite ocean.
From its roof terrace, now converted into a breakfast area, you can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the sea overlooking the small town of Garachico. In the area surrounding the hotel you will find natural swimming pools and a genuine local atmosphere, as well as many terraces, restaurants and small tapas bars.
The rooms of the Hotel Rural Gara maintain the traditional tone of the building but add all kinds of comforts, typical of this type of accommodation. Garachico, located at sea level, is an ideal place to enjoy the last nights in Tenerife.
HOTEL RURAL VILAFLOR
Vilaflor has the privilege of being the highest village in the Canary Islands, 1,500 metres above the sea. A haven of peace in the middle of nature, surrounded by a green lung of extensive Canarian pine trees. In the heart of the town centre we find this small rural hotel, exquisitely decorated in the traditional country style.
Despite the altitude of the municipality, Vilaflor is located on the southern slopes of Tenerife and the Hotel Rural Vilaflor benefits, during the day, from the great sunshine of the place. It is surrounded by the typical shops of a rural environment, being a strategic accommodation from which to approach such emblematic routes as the Lunar Landscape, among others.

LA LAGUNA GRAN HOTEL
Emblematic hotel located in the heart of the historic centre of San Cristobal de La Laguna. HOTEL LA QUINTA ROJA
Garachico is the starting point for this route. In the middle of the pedestrian area is the Hotel La Quinta Roja, located in an old palatial mansion, now exquisitely refurbished. The huge covered interior courtyard is home to the reception and cafeteria where breakfast is served.
Garachico has a lively cultural life as well as an extensive and varied gastronomic offer. The atmosphere of the city is pleasant and conveys a local character as well as that of a small cosmopolitan city. It is the ideal place to enjoy the first two days in Tenerife.
The rooms are spacious but maintain the old colonial character that permeates the whole building as well as the surroundings of the historic centre of Garachico.
Open-air breakfasts, next to the beautiful square of Garachico in the incomparable setting of a private courtyard surrounded by hundred-year-old laurels.
HOTEL SPA VILLALBA
After reaching Vilaflor, we find accommodation in this little jewel in the middle of nature. Vilaflor has the privilege of being the highest village in the Canary Islands, 1,500 metres above sea level. Surrounded by extensive pine forests is this small hotel with 27 splendid rooms.
The place is a haven of tranquillity, barely disturbed by the crackling of the trees swaying in the breeze.
Additional overnights
It is also possible to book some additional days, before or after the hiking week, or an additional week to relax.
Difficulty
To successfully achieve the 6 walks it is necessary a good physical condition, steady walk and lack of vertigo. According to the year season, temperatures can be extreme (hot and/or cold). Therefore, it is necessary to have suitable warm clothes permanently, to be removed as layers if necessary. Some parts of this trail include passages with slippery loose stone. Although most of this trail is roomy enough, certain sections are quite aerial and require caution. Using hiking poles is highly recommended.
Trails
The Canary Islands has a well signposted network of trails. All sections where from our tours are perfectly marked. In addition to the detailed map of Tenerife, you will get from us precise indications of each route and assistance from the hotline on your walks.
We recommend
Appropriate hiking clothing and sturdy footwear. During the tours, it is necessary to have food and drink enough, as well as sun protection, a cap, wind jacket and, in the winter months, warm clothing.
Luggage transfer
We move your luggage from one accommodation to next, so on your hikes you should only carry a backpack with the essentials of the day. For the whole trip, it is recommendable to use a single suitcase, not bigger than 20 kg.
You can book at any date!
TENERIFE has two airports: Los Rodeos airport in the north (TFN), close to the capital, is ideal for those staying in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Laguna or Puerto de La Cruz or for those intending to connect with a local flight to other islands.
However, international flights mainly arrive at Reina Sofía Airport, located to the south (TFS). This airport is close to the port of Los Cristianos and the tourist centres in the south. It is the most convenient airport if you want to travel to the islands of La Gomera or El Hierro.
