The smallest and least known of the Canary Islands. It is also the most remote, located at the western end of the archipelago, with the Orchilla lighthouse indicating the end of the ancient world. A very sparsely populated island with a rugged relief that has large forests of fayas and heather on its northern side and huge pine forests in the sunny south. The scars of recent volcanoes are criss-crossed by ancestral trails to their crests, through untouched landscapes, penetrating through extensive pine and juniper forests. An island with rare endemic animals, such as the giant lizard. And the superb landscapes with breathtaking views of the other islands of the archipelago will amaze you as you take part in our group hikes around the island.

Gran Canaria is the administrative centre of the eastern province and has institutions of regional government shared with Tenerife for the Canary Islands as a whole. In the south, tourist activity is intensive. But its inland area is surprising for its rural character, which has remained untouched by the developmentalism of the last 40 years. Gran Canaria has a mountainous relief and is criss-crossed by deep ravines. Extensive wooded areas populate the entire northern half of the island, where countless ancestral trails connect towns and villages. An ideal environment to enjoy hiking in a group and absorb all the rural essence of a mythical island. Enjoy our proposed program for hiking in Gran Canaria !

Hiking in a group offers a number of unique advantages that make this outdoor activity especially rewarding and enriching. Walking in the company of other hiking enthusiasts in a group provides a sense of camaraderie and mutual support that is difficult to replicate when hiking alone.
One of the main advantages of group trekking is the safety it provides. By hiking in a group, participants can rely on the support and assistance of their companions in case of emergency, injury or loss along the way. This extra sense of security allows hikers to enjoy the experience to the fullest, knowing that they are not alone in case of need.
In addition, group hiking facilitates the exchange of knowledge and skills among participants. By walking with other hiking enthusiasts in a group, hikers have the opportunity to learn from each other, share useful tips and tricks, and improve their hiking skills. This collaboration and camaraderie contribute to enriching the collective experience and strengthening the bonds between group members.
Another important advantage of group walking is the motivation and encouragement it provides. By committing to walking in a group, hikers are more motivated to stay active and meet their hiking goals. The support and companionship of other group hiking enthusiasts helps to overcome the mental and physical barriers that can sometimes arise when engaging in outdoor activities, allowing participants to reach new heights and explore new trails together.
In addition, group trekking offers a unique opportunity to create shared memories and experiences that will last long after the trek is over. From the thrill of reaching a summit to the satisfaction of overcoming a challenge together, the shared experiences of group trekking can strengthen the bonds between participants and create lasting bonds that will last long after the trek has ended.
In short, group hiking offers a number of significant advantages that go beyond simply walking in company. From safety and knowledge sharing to motivation and shared experiences, this outdoor activity provides an enriching and rewarding experience for all participants.
