Stargazing on La Palma
Enjoy a magnificent evening at the Roque de Los Muchachos peak, watching the spectacular sunset and Stargazing on La Palma.
The Astrophysical Observatory from La Palma is placed in one of the clearest skies in the world, at an altitude of almost 2,500 metres. And it is in the same space where, at nightfall, with the twinkling of the first stars that we will enjoy an outdoor stargazing on La Palma through a field telescope.
On the way to the Roque de Los Muchachos we will pass by different observatories, learning about their functions and seeing how they are already preparing their domes, focusing to the universe. And from the highest point, at 2,426 metres above the sea, we will enjoy an amazing twilight spectacle, with a glass of La Palma wine.
Once at our observation place, the specialised Starlight guide will show you the immensity of the sky with the gradual appearance of an infinite number of stars, galaxies, nebulae and planets. With a laser pointer, he will point out each stellar phenomenon and describe their names and the circumstances surrounding them, so that you can observe them later through the telescope. An stargazing experience on La Palma you will certainly never forget!
