Sie ist auch die abgelegenste und liegt am westlichen Ende des Archipels, wo der Leuchtturm von Orchilla das Ende der alten Welt anzeigt. Die Insel ist sehr d\u00fcnn besiedelt und weist ein zerkl\u00fcftetes Relief mit gro\u00dfen Fayas- und Heidew\u00e4ldern im Norden und riesigen Kiefernw\u00e4ldern im sonnigen S\u00fcden auf. Die Narben rezenter Vulkane werden von uralten Pfaden zu ihren Gipfeln durchzogen, die durch unber\u00fchrte Landschaften f\u00fchren und in ausgedehnte Kiefern- und Wacholderw\u00e4lder eindringen. In der Mitte der Insel befindet sich der riesige Krater der Caldera de Taburiente, das Herz der Insel, der durch Erosion entstanden ist. Die Gipfel von La Palma im Norden erreichen am Roque de Los Muchachos eine H\u00f6he von 2.426 Metern. Im zentralen Teil der Insel erstrecken sich \u00fcppige Lorbeerw\u00e4lder, die von einem Wolkenmantel umh\u00fcllt sind, der sie mit st\u00e4ndiger Feuchtigkeit versorgt. Eine \u00fcppig gr\u00fcne Insel mit dschungelartigem Aussehen und monolithischen Basaltfelsen, die sich in der Landschaft erheben. Von Anfang an ein gutes Gef\u00fchl durch die nette und flotte Kommunikation mit Jeanette, hatten wir dann Anfang Juni eine fantastische Zeit auf La Palma. Die Touren waren f\u00fcr meine Frau und mich anspruchsvoll, aber durchaus zu schaffen. Die Reihenfolge war so geplant, dass es Tag f\u00fcr Tag immer (noch) sch\u00f6ner wurde. Auch ein Trip zum neuen Vulkan Tajogaite war auf unseren Wunsch hin mit enthalten. Die erste Woche waren wir auf La Palma und die zweite auf Gran Canaria. Die Reise begann mit einem Briefing, bei dem uns Jeanette alle Touren vorstellte und auch darauf aufmerksam machte, worauf wir achten sollen. Sie gab uns auch ihre Telefonnummer, sodass wir sie jederzeit erreichen konnten (auch an Sonntagen). Gleich bei einer der ersten Wanderungen ist uns der Bus vor der Nase weggefahren und Jeanette schickte uns stattdessen kostenlos ein Taxi. Auch an den anderen Tagen, an denen uns \u00fcblicherweise ein Taxi am Ende unserer Tour abholte, war es kein Problem, dass wir dieses meistens schon eine Stunde fr\u00fcher brauchten. Wenn wir uns rechtzeitig gemeldet haben, wurden wir problemlos eine Stunde fr\u00fcher abgeholt. Einmal war das Wetter im Inselinneren so schlecht, dass wir die geplante Tour absagen mussten. Da aber an der K\u00fcste die Sonne schien, hat sie uns kurzfristig eine andere Route angeboten. FAZIT: Wir k\u00f6nnen die Agentur Natour und vor allem Jeanette ruhigen Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Wenn jemand eine Wanderreise auf die Kanarischen Inseln plant, ist Natour die beste Option. Und eines steht auch fest. Alles hat wunderbar geklappt, die Hotels waren sch\u00f6n, der Taxitransfer unseres Gep\u00e4cks hat reibungslos funktioniert, und wir hatten mit Jeanette eine sehr nette Ansprechpartnerin, die sich \u201aim Hintergrund\u2018 bestens um alles f\u00fcr uns gek\u00fcmmert hat. Auch unsere Sonderw\u00fcnsche betreffend unsere Verl\u00e4ngerung und Unterkunft nach Beendigung der Wanderung \u00fcber Silvester wurden problemlos mit in die Organisation der Reise einbezogen. Es waren gute Unterk\u00fcnfte gebucht, die Transfers haben alle perfekt geklappt, gut fand ich auch das die \u00f6ffentlichen Busse mit eingeplant waren. Our first contact with Natour actually started some time ago, when we were looking into hiking the GR131 on Gran Canaria. We got in touch with Bel\u00e9n and immediately had a very positive impression of Natour and the way they work. Eventually, we changed our plans from Gran Canaria to Tenerife and we are very happy that we decided to organise this trip with Natour. They arranged everything around the hike: our accommodations, luggage transport from one hotel to the next, and transfers to and from the start and finish points of the different stages. Everything worked perfectly, allowing us to simply focus on hiking and enjoying Tenerife. What really stood out was their flexibility. On several days we finished our hike much earlier than the estimated time, sometimes almost two hours early. It was never a problem. We simply got in touch, Natour contacted the taxi company, and our pickup was moved forward. No hassle, no complicated arrangements just quick, friendly and practical service. Exactly what you want after a long day of hiking! We previously organised our GR131 hikes on Lanzarote and Fuerteventura completely ourselves, including all accommodations and logistics. Having now experienced how easy and enjoyable Natour makes this, we already know that we will use them again for the remaining islands. Gran Canaria, La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma are still on our GR131 list and Natour will definitely be our first choice to organise them. It was very well organised and we had a meeting with Miguel the day before we started walking to discuss the route and logistics.  The walking was scenic and varied.  The combination of taxis and buses to and from trailheads worked well.  The hotels were comfortable, clean and friendly.  Miguel was also available to rearrange a taxi drop off point when we needed modify a walk due to poor weather.
